Pixelsleuth
Inspect fonts and colours locally. Pro adds CSS, measure and contrast. Page content is never sent.
- Fonts. Hover text to see the font the browser rendered for it, with its size, weight and line height. List the fonts the page's styles use.
- Colours. Pick any pixel with the eyedropper and copy it as HEX, RGB or HSL. See the page's palette, from its most-used colours down.
- CSS, box model, measure and contrast (Pro). Copy an element's CSS, see its padding and margins, measure the gap between two elements, and check text contrast against WCAG 2.2.
- Private by design. No account, no analytics, no server. Pixelsleuth reads a page only when you open it on that tab. What it reads, including page text it uses to work out fonts and colours, stays in memory and is gone when you close it. It keeps only the colours you pick and, if you have Pro, your licence details. Pro's licence check talks only to Freemius.
Free and Pro
Free: the font inspector, the eyedropper with your last 5 picks, the page's top 8 colours, the page's fonts, and keyboard shortcuts.
Pro: everything in Free, plus element CSS and the box model, measure, the contrast check, the full page palette, your last 50 picks, and export of picks, palette and fonts (CSS variables or JSON). $19 a year or $39 once. VAT is added at checkout where it applies, and you see the full total before you pay.
Limits
Works on accessible web-page elements. Font results may be first-available estimates; mixed text may use multiple faces. Palette and font lists are bounded estimates from styles, not a complete pixel scan. Browser-protected pages, closed shadow roots and cross-origin frames are not inspected. For complex backgrounds, contrast uses manual colour picks. Pro licensing contacts Freemius.
